Privacy Policy

As of October 13, 2026

1. General Information on Data Protection

The protection of your personal data is an important concern for us. We, Euridis gGmbH, treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the applicable statutory data protection provisions, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), and the Telecommunications and Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG).

This privacy policy informs you about which personal data are collected and processed when you visit our website www.euridis.de, for what purposes this occurs, on what legal bases the processing is based, and what rights you have as a data subject.

Personal data are all information by which a natural person can be identified directly or indirectly. This includes, for example, name, address, email address, telephone number, and technical information such as IP addresses.

The processing of personal data takes place exclusively within the framework of statutory provisions and insofar as this is necessary for the provision of our website, the handling of inquiries, the organization and implementation of our educational offerings, or the fulfillment of statutory obligations.

2. Controller

The controller for data processing on this website within the meaning of the GDPR is:

Euridis gGmbH
European Institute for Language Communication Information

Börchemstr. 38
40597 Düsseldorf
Germany

Email: kontakt@euridis.de
Website: https://euridis.de

If you have questions regarding the processing of your personal data or the exercise of your data protection rights, you may contact the above address at any time.

3. Hosting and Technical Provision of the Website

Our website is operated using the content management system WordPress and is provided by an external hosting service provider.

When you access our website, your browser automatically transmits technical information to the web server. This information may be stored in so-called server log files.

This includes in particular:

  • IP address of the accessing device
  • date and time of access
  • page accessed or file requested
  • amount of data transferred
  • browser type and browser version
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL, if transmitted by the browser
  • HTTP status code or result of the page request

The processing is carried out to ensure the technically error-free provision of the website, to guarantee system security, for error analysis, and for the detection and defense against unauthorized access.

Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest consists in the secure, reliable, and functional operation of our website.

The server log files are stored only as long as necessary for the stated purposes. Longer retention occurs exclusively insofar as this is necessary for the investigation of security-related incidents or on the basis of statutory obligations.

Insofar as our hosting service provider processes personal data on our behalf, this is done on the basis of a processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

4. SSL/TLS Encryption

For security reasons, our website uses SSL or TLS encryption.

This is intended to protect personal data that you transmit to us, for example via the contact form, from unauthorized access during transmission.

You can recognize an encrypted connection by the character string “https://” in the address bar of your browser and by the corresponding security symbol.

5. Contact and Contact Form

If you contact us via contact form, email, or telephone, we process the personal data you transmit in order to handle and respond to your inquiry.

Via our contact form, the following information in particular may be collected:

  • first name and last name
  • email address
  • selected area of interest
  • content of your message
  • any other information voluntarily transmitted

We require the information marked as mandatory fields in order to process and respond to your inquiry meaningfully.

Further processing for other purposes not compatible with your inquiry takes place only if a statutory basis exists for this.

Legal bases of processing:

  • Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, insofar as your inquiry is directed toward the conclusion or performance of a contract.
  • Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for other inquiries. Our legitimate interest consists in the proper handling and response to your contact.

The transmitted data will be deleted as soon as the handling of your inquiry is completed and no statutory retention obligations or other legitimate grounds for further storage exist.

Please do not transmit particularly sensitive information via the general contact form, in particular no health data, unless this is necessary for your inquiry.

Technical Spam Protection

To protect our contact form from automated input and abusive use, technical verification mechanisms may be employed, for example hidden form fields for the detection of automated submissions.

In this context, the technical information necessary for verification may be processed.

Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the protection of our communication systems from spam and abuse.

6. Course Offerings and Online Bookings via edoobox

To display our course offerings and to process course registrations, we use the external booking and course management system edoobox.

Provider:

Etzensperger Informatik AG
Kirchweg 24
CH-3366 Bettenhausen
Switzerland

Website: https://www.edoobox.com

6.1 Integration of the Course Catalog

On our website, the edoobox booking system is integrated via a so-called iFrame.

When a page with this integration is accessed, a connection to the edoobox servers is established in order to display the course offerings and booking functions.

In this context, technical data may be transmitted to edoobox, in particular:

  • IP address
  • date and time of access
  • browser and device information
  • content accessed
  • technically required connection and session information

The processing of these data serves the provision of our digital course offerings and the technical functionality of the integrated booking system.

Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest consists in providing interested parties with a current overview of our educational offerings and a user-friendly booking option.

Insofar as consent is required for additional storage or access operations on your device, their permissibility is governed by § 25 TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

6.2 Processing of Data in Connection with a Course Registration

If you book a course via edoobox, the personal data necessary for registration and contract processing are processed.

Depending on the respective offering and booking procedure, this may include:

  • first name and last name
  • address and contact details
  • email address and telephone number
  • selected course and booking date
  • participant and booking information
  • any voluntary additional information
  • billing and payment information
  • information on booking and payment status

These data are used to process your registration, to organize and implement the booked educational offering, and for the necessary communication with you.

Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the performance of pre-contractual measures or for the fulfillment of the contract.

Insofar as statutory retention, billing, or documentation obligations exist, processing is additionally based on Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.

If additional information is required for individual offerings, we will inform you in the respective registration or booking procedure.

6.3 Processing on Behalf of a Controller and Data Location

edoobox processes participant and booking data within the scope of the agreed services for us.

Insofar as edoobox acts as a processor, processing is carried out on the basis of an agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

According to the provider’s information, central platform data are generally processed and stored in Switzerland.

Switzerland is a third country outside the European Union and the European Economic Area under data protection law. However, an adequacy decision of the European Commission pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR exists for Switzerland.

Thus, a transfer of personal data to Switzerland is generally permissible without additional transfer safeguards pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR.

Further information on data processing by edoobox can be found at:

https://www.edoobox.com/de/datenschutzerklaerung/

6.4 Cookies and Session Data from edoobox

In the context of using the booking system, technically required cookies and session information may be used.

According to the documentation of edoobox, this may include in particular the cookies “edsesa” for managing a visitor session and “edsess” for managing a registered or booking person.

These serve in particular to maintain the booking process and to assign inputs within a session.

Insofar as such storage and access operations are strictly necessary for the expressly requested booking service, their use is governed by § 25(2) TDDDG.

Additional analysis or marketing technologies within the booking system may, insofar as they require consent, only be used after prior valid consent.

6.5 Payment Processing

If electronic payment is offered in connection with a course booking, the data necessary for this purpose may be transmitted to the respective payment service provider used.

The nature and scope of data processing depend on the selected payment method and the information displayed in the booking process.

Processing is carried out for the performance of the payment or booking contract pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and, where applicable, for the fulfillment of statutory obligations pursuant to Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.

7. Web Analysis with WP Statistics

For statistical analysis of the use of our website, we use the WordPress plugin WP Statistics from the provider VeronaLabs.

The plugin serves to better understand the use of our website, to identify frequently visited content, and to further develop our online offering technically and in terms of content.

WP Statistics is used on our website in a privacy-friendly, cookieless configuration.

7.1 Type of Data Processed

In the context of statistical analysis, the following data in particular may be processed:

  • pages and content accessed
  • time and frequency of page views
  • referring websites
  • browser and device information
  • technical information on page access
  • shortened or hashed IP-based information
  • statistical geographic assignments, where applicable

According to the plugin provider’s information, IP addresses are shortened or protected by hashing procedures before storage in the privacy-friendly default configuration.

WP Statistics does not require tracking cookies or permanently stored cross-browser user identifiers for this form of analysis.

7.2 Local Data Processing

The statistical data collected by WP Statistics are stored locally in the WordPress database of our website.

According to the provider’s information, no transmission of these analysis data to external analysis services occurs in the privacy-friendly default configuration.

The data are not used for personalized advertising.

7.3 Purpose and Legal Basis

Processing serves the statistical analysis of website access, the improvement of our content, and the optimization of user-friendliness and technical performance.

Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Our legitimate interest consists in the data-minimized statistical analysis and the needs-based further development of our website.

The statistical data are stored only as long as they are necessary for these purposes and are subsequently deleted or used further in aggregated form.

You may object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for reasons arising from your particular situation pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR.

Further information on data processing by WP Statistics can be found at:

https://wp-statistics.com/resources/wp-statistics-data-privacy/

8. Accessibility with OneTap

To improve the accessibility and usability of our website for as many people as possible, we use the WordPress plugin OneTap – Accessibility Toolbar.

Further information on the plugin can be found at:

https://wponetap.com

OneTap provides various functions for individual customization of the display and usability of our website.

These include, for example:

  • adjustment of font size
  • modification of contrasts and colors
  • adjustment of line and character spacing
  • highlighting of links and content
  • reading and orientation aids
  • reduction of visual distractions
  • activation of predefined accessibility profiles

8.1 Processing and Storage of Settings

According to the provider’s information, OneTap operates predominantly or in its basic function in a browser-based manner.

To store individually selected display and usability settings, information may be stored in the local storage of your browser (Local Storage).

This makes it possible to retain your personal settings during further use of the website.

According to the provider’s information, the basic accessibility functions do not create personal user profiles for advertising purposes and do not transmit corresponding visitor data to external analysis systems.

8.2 Legal Basis

Processing is carried out to provide user-friendly and low-barrier website functions on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Our legitimate interest lies in improving the accessibility of our digital offerings.

Insofar as local storage is strictly necessary for the provision of the accessibility functions expressly requested by the user, access is based on § 25(2) TDDDG.

The locally stored settings can be reset via the plugin’s functions or deleted via the browser settings.

9. Cookies and Local Storage Technologies

Our website may use cookies and comparable technologies that are necessary for technical provision, security, or functions requested by the user.

Cookies are small data sets that are stored by your browser on your device. Comparable technologies may, for example, use the local storage of your browser.

We distinguish between:

Technically Required Storage Technologies

These are necessary to provide basic functions of the website, session processes, security mechanisms, or expressly requested functions.

Insofar as the statutory requirements are met, no separate consent is required for this pursuant to § 25(2) TDDDG.

Storage Technologies Requiring Consent

Storage and access technologies that are not strictly necessary, in particular for marketing, personalized advertising, or corresponding tracking, may only be used if valid consent exists for this.

Legal bases are § 25(1) TDDDG and, for the associated personal data processing, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Consent given may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

You may also manage and delete cookies via your browser settings. Please note that deactivating technically required cookies may impair certain functions.

10. External Links and Google Maps

Our website contains links to external websites and services.

This includes in particular a link to Google Maps, with which you can access directions to our location.

The provider for users in the European Economic Area is generally Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

The route function is provided via an external link. When you click this link, you leave our website and access a service from Google.

In this context, personal data, in particular your IP address and technical device and browser information, may be processed by Google.

For further data processing by Google, the provider’s privacy policy applies. This may also involve processing in countries outside the European Economic Area.

Further information:

https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de

For other external links, the privacy notices of the respective providers apply accordingly.

11. Applications

If you apply to us, for example by email, we process your application data exclusively within the scope of the application and selection procedure and, where applicable, for the establishment of an employment relationship.

This may include in particular:

  • name and contact details
  • curriculum vitae and qualification certificates
  • references and certificates
  • professional experience
  • cover letter and other application documents
  • information from applicant communication

Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR in conjunction with the applicable employment data protection provisions, in particular § 26 BDSG, where applicable.

If an employment relationship is established, the necessary data may be further processed for its performance.

In the event of a rejection, the application data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer necessary for the selection procedure and the protection of legitimate legal interests and no statutory retention obligations exist.

Inclusion in an applicant pool beyond this takes place only on a suitable legal basis for this purpose, for example on the basis of your express consent.

12. Disclosure of Personal Data and Processing on Behalf of a Controller

Personal data are only transmitted to third parties or external service providers if a legal basis exists for this.

This may be necessary in particular for:

  • technical provision and security of our website
  • handling of contact inquiries
  • organization and implementation of course bookings
  • payment processing
  • fulfillment of statutory retention and documentation obligations
  • protection or enforcement of legal claims

Possible recipient categories include hosting and IT service providers, communication service providers, booking and payment service providers, and, where applicable, statutorily authorized public bodies.

Insofar as service providers process personal data on our behalf in accordance with instructions, we conclude the necessary agreements for processing on behalf of a controller pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

Transmission of personal data to third parties for their own advertising purposes does not take place without a corresponding legal basis.

13. Data Transfer to Third Countries

In the context of using individual external services, processing of personal data outside the European Union or the European Economic Area may occur.

This concerns in particular the use of the edoobox booking system with data processing in Switzerland.

An adequacy decision of the European Commission pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR exists for Switzerland.

Insofar as a transfer to a third country occurs with other services used, this must be based on a permissible basis under Chapter V GDPR, for example an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Further details on the respective providers and data processing operations are provided in the corresponding sections of this privacy policy.

14. Storage Period and Deletion of Personal Data

We process and store personal data generally only as long as this is necessary for the respective processing purpose.

The specific storage period depends in particular on:

  • the purpose of data collection
  • the duration of an existing contractual relationship
  • statutory retention obligations
  • the necessity for handling open inquiries
  • legitimate interests in the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims

Insofar as statutory retention periods exist, in particular under commercial or tax law, deletion takes place only after their expiration.

Data that are no longer required for their original purpose are deleted or, where possible, anonymized, unless another legal basis exists for their further processing.

15. Your Rights as a Data Subject

You have various rights regarding the processing of your personal data within the scope of the applicable statutory provisions.

15.1 Right of Access

Pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR, you have the right to request information as to whether and which personal data we process about you.

15.6 Right to Object

Pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR, you have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing of personal data based on Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR.

We will then no longer process the data in question unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

15.7 Withdrawal of Consent

Insofar as processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future pursuant to Art. 7(3) GDPR.

The lawfulness of processing carried out until the withdrawal remains unaffected.

15.8 Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority

You have the right pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the GDPR.

For our registered office, the following supervisory authority is generally responsible:

Your right to lodge a complaint may also be exercised with another competent data protection supervisory authority.

To exercise your rights, you may contact us at any time at kontakt@euridis.de.

16. Obligation to Provide Personal Data

The provision of personal data is generally not contractually required for purely informational visits to our website. However, the data technically necessary for the transmission and display of the website are processed automatically.

If you wish to use our contact form or book a course, you must provide the information marked as required in each case.

Without this information, we may not be able to process your inquiry or conclude or perform the requested contract.

Voluntary information is marked accordingly or is evident from the respective input context.

17. Automated Decision-Making

Within the scope of the website functions described in this privacy policy, no exclusively automated decision-making including profiling takes place that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

18. Currency and Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy if this becomes necessary due to statutory changes, new technical functions, changed data processing operations, or new service providers.

The current version published on our website applies in each case.
